Jamie’s launches first-ever billboard campaign

Between May 12 and August 24, drivers in Cuyahoga County can see billboards announcing the main interests of a visit to Northern Ohio’s largest traditional flea market: Shop, Save & Sell. Going strong after 50 years, Jamie’s owners and management hope to attract buyers and sellers alike from Cleveland’s south and west side neighborhoods and suburbs and from tourists visiting Lake Erie’s shores and islands.

The market caters to bargain hunters, and people looking for unique items. Jamie’s family-friendly atmosphere promises good fun as well as an opportunity for part-time vendors to make extra cash and meet new people. To add to the fun, Jamie’s organizes regular events, such as its Annual Gas Grill Giveaway. The winning ticket will be drawn at noon on May 24th.

General manager, Lorna Ingersoll says, “Jamie’s is an established location with regular foot traffic, and a wide variety of shoppers.”  There’s a certain safety selling here, with reduced risk of theft (or worse), as opposed to trying to sell out of your house or at a designated meeting place.”

With 250 inside spaces located in two buildings and space for up to 400 outside daily vendors, there is ample opportunity to shop for bargains. Ingersoll adds, “We have all different kinds of vendors selling everything from furniture to arts and crafts, sporting goods and memorabilia, vintage items, and collectibles.” Jamie’s is also the place to find shoppers. Every Wednesday and Saturday, sellers find their customers browsing the indoor and outside aisles.
